I know not this obsession with fiery colorschemes of which you speak. It's not as if this is the third deviation in a row I've done with orange lighting and colors.
...
So, yes, new deviation finally. Trying out a new CG method, and thus far I'm pretty happy with it. The lineart is kind of completely crappy, I know, still need to work on that, but I'm trying to look on the bright side here. The flames could also do some work, but after I spent an hour fiddling with them and the light from the eyes I decided I would probably have a nervous breakdown if I kept it up.
No real religious meanings intended here. Despite the name... and the pose.... and the whole halo of flames thing....
Originally I was going to call it Promethea (feminine version of Prometheus from the greek legend) but Alan Moore already beat me to the name
Very loosely based off a dream I had. -Very- loosely. As in the hair is about it...
I listened to the song "Lonely Souls" by Unkle far too much working on this. It's going to be stuck in my head for the next century.
Technical stuff:
Lineart w/ Copic Multiliners, everything else in Photoshop 7
Awsome, you must teach me how to color that AWSOMELY! Yeah, that's a word. . . NOW. One thing that could be changed is the tears they look like runny lines down her face. They need to be less straight.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
